365 days!

This is my new start.   Now I am 64 ....wow and I was trying so hard at 57.  But seriously, I am going to post daily about my pursuit of health and fitness.  I haven't run since 2014 after I blew out my right knee and I have gained a lot of weight, lost alot of muscle and generally am sluggish.

Time to renew my life!

Today I weigh 212 lbs!
Today I had coffee with flax milk
Left over veg stirfry 1 cup with 5 shrimp
1 mandarin
1/2 cup blackberries
Pita way salad with 1/4 c chicken and vinager
Small baklava
Trader Joe nut bar
Water
Zero exercize.
I feel great...leaving tomorrow for Daytona with big plans to boost my exercize!

Happy Easter

It is finally warm enough for me to jog outside.  Today is a warm 56 degrees in the sun! Yea, spring is right around the corner.  Today I tried to use my Nike-ipod thing that goes on my shoes to track my miles (haha, well hoping for three) but it wouldn't acknowledge that  it was syncing with my ipod.  I forgot that the last time I used it was during the half marathon.  A funny thing happened; I was zipping along and had just come over the Ambassador bridge at sun rise (amazing!), when I had taken two steps into Canadian soil my ipod died along with the Nike thing.  No music from mile 4 on and no idea how fast, or as it turned out, slow I was going.   My didn't work until I charged it on my pc and I hadn't used the Nike shoe pod until now.  So now I am trying to decide if I should buy a new one or look for something better. It is a beautiful day!

New Starts

This year I started out with new goals to to improve my life.  I had thought calling this blog No, really it's a good plan to start jogging at 57.  St Patrick's Day was 20 cold degrees and I jogged my first race.  It was a 5K.  I did ok, but most impressed that I waited 50 minutes in the cold before the race started.  It was mighty cold!   This is my picture after the race.  Now I need to find a race for May.
